The Cote d’Azur is beautiful, but touristy and we were not so interested in these things, so when we discovered a little-known gem along the Cote D’Azur, we were delighted to spend a little time there. While it is still a bit touristy, it was small enough to have just a few families on the beach, enjoying the sunny day on the Mediterranean. This is Bandol, just past Cassis, France. Shhhh… don’t tell anyone.
A cute little beach resort town, and a popular sailboat anchor stop.
We spent a peaceful, relaxing afternoon here in Bandol, after driving part of the narrow winding highway along the cliffs of the Cote D’Azur with it’s mesmerizing views.
Then window shopping along the multitude of little shops in Bandol.
Really a lovely relaxing place, quieter than many of the towns on the Cote d’Azur…
So, that’s Bandol, a hidden gem along the Cote D’Azur of France.
Shhh…. Don’t tell anyone.
Looks lovely – lots of yachts in the Marina. Love the shop called “Why Not?” Cute.
Yes, I thought that Why Not shop was unique too. Really a nice vibe in this little town.
